We serve as an outreach base for several organisations with complementary aims, and also host a number of community groups.  If you wish to get in touch with them, please contact them directly.

Tai Hafan provides support and housing for vulnerable women and children. Trish, their Project Co-ordinator, can be seen here at our offices – she also carries out home visits. 

Credit Union is here every week – they are currently looking for volunteers to help with this service. Contact Jane Chappelle on 01874 620104.

I have recently started saving with the Credit Union and have found it to be a very convenient way of saving.   I am able to save as much money as I like as often as I like.  If one week I find I am short of a pound or two, I am under no obligation to save. 

Manic Depressive Fellowship (MDF)
Brecknock MDF Group meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 00 pm – 9 00 pm - one month in Ystradgynlais Mind and the next month at The Loft in Brecon.  It is for people with bipolar disorder to get support and meet socially.  Self management classes are held to help people with Bipolar to manage their illness.  These have proved both popular and helpful.  Anyone with a Bipolar diagnosis who would like to know more can contact Ystradgynlais Mind.  Useful website:  MDF The Bipolar Organisation

Meets here second Wednesday of the month; provides support to those with ASD and their families/carers.  Autism Helpline: 0845 070 4004  Website for National Autistic Society Cymru

Provides a unique counselling and support service to those affected by the trauma caused by Rape and Sexual Abuse.  They offer additional services to children and young people who have been affected by other types of trauma such as bullying or the loss of a parent.
