Support Us

You can support us in a number of ways:

Feel good about yourself and help us at the same time - read the Volunteer's Journey to find out how a former service user was inspired to help us.  Please get in touch if you're interested in volunteering with us - at the moment, we are particularly looking for help with:

We're always ready to accept most things that people want to donate, but due to space restrictions, we'd ask you to get in touch first if you have anything too bulky.  We especially like the following:

  • Arts & Crafts materials and jewellery - even if it's broken - so our group can make things to sell
  • Household goods, by arrangement - we can often pass these on when one of our members gets their own place to live.
  • Money  Every penny we get goes towards making our service the best we can offer.  We hope to be able to accept online donations in the near future, but in the meantime, why not send us a cheque?  Please make it payable to Ystradgynlais Mind - the address is in the Getting in Touch box.
  • Legacies, Bequeaths & In Memory donations:
Making or changing your will?  Why not leave a legacy to Ystradgynlais Mind?  Advice on making a Will can be found here.    An In Memory donation is something that many people choose as an alternative to a floral tribute.

Carol Stephens, our Chief Exec, raises money for us through sponsorship of her participation in events such as the Iron Man Triathlon (swim 3.8km, cycle 180km then run 42km).  Her latest fundraising event was to cycle 825 miles from Santander in Spain to St Malo in France, in twelve days!  Carol has only recently started cycling.

We are always keen to hear from people who have good ideas for raising money for us.  Please get in touch with your ideas.
